On occasion, a lobster boat may be intentionally beached which allows for inspection and or maintenance . The three bridges in the background link the states of New Hampshire to the left and Maine to the right. The first is the New Memorial Bridge which was completely reconstructed in 2012. The second is the new Sarah Mildred Long Bridge, also completely reconstructed and reopened in 2018. The third is the Interstate 95 Bridge which offers the highest fixed clearance while the other two are both center span lift bridges.
